AIDAN O’BRIEN has confirmed ‘out of this world’ filly Lake Victoria WILL return to racing – and could be ‘unbelievable’.
The superstar Irish 1,000 Guineas three-year-old has been out of action since that Curragh win back in May.

There were fears she may have run her last race after appearing to pick up an injury.
But the Ballydoyle boss told the Nick Luck Daily podcast that she is on the mend – and will race again as a four-year-old in 2026.
Quizzed on Lake Victoria, O’Brien, who confirmed a ‘world-class’ jockey will replace the injured Ryan Moore, said: “She’s ready to start back.
“All the lads will be happy and want to keep her in training next year.
“We will do all the scans to make sure she will be OK.
“And then, if they think she’s OK, she will come back.
“She could be an unbelievable four-year-old – she is an unbelievable filly.”
O’Brien also offered an update on the hugely exciting Twain.
The Wootton Bassett colt won a Leopardstown maiden last October and then took the rise to Group 1 company with ease, winning his next race, the Criterium, at Saint-Cloud.
He hasn’t been since owing to another injury but O’Brien said the future looks very bright for him as well.
The trainer said: “Twain is good and he is back cantering having done very well physically.
“He could be absolutely anything next year.
“Either way, as a stallion he is going to be very desirable.”
Lake Victoria was unbeaten in five heading into this year’s 1,000 Guineas but could only finish sixth behind Godolphin’s Desert Flower.
She bounced back with her Curragh win that same month, leading O’Brien to wax lyrical about what she had been showing at home.
He said after victory: “We thought she ran an incredible race in the circumstances at Newmarket.
“Ryan looked after her, he was over the moon with her.
“Everything went well after Newmarket and her work was out of this world really.”
