Suddenly a black car races up behind the truck, accelerating before smashing into its rear.
The impact sends the car spiralling through the air and crashing to the ground before flipping over and rolling on to the pavement.
The terrified pedestrian hears the commotion and looks behind him only to see the vehicle heading straight at him.
He drops his bags and runs away as the car does another somersault before coming to a thudding stop with the beep of a horn.
A hand can be seen moving in the passenger seat as the truck driver and residents come to inspect the damage.
The incident is believed to have taken place in West Yorkshire back in 2020 but the viral clip is circulating again.
Viewers were quick to take to the comments to weigh in with their opinions after watching the shocking video.
One wrote: “I feel for the man who had to drop his stuff and run for his life.
Another said: “That one guy went from having a nice lovely stroll to the grocery store, to his life flashing before his eyes. Poor fella.”
A third commented: “Glad that guy wasn’t on his phone/headphones.”
Social media users also piled in to criticise the Audi driver.
One woman wrote: “What an idiot.”
Another added: “Wherever it is the clown in the Audi is at fault.”
And a third user said: “Oh dear hope the stupid driver wasn’t hurt and didn’t hurt anyone else mentally what the f***.”
It comes after a banned driver was captured dangling his legs out of a car window before killing a pensioner in a horror smash.
Footage filmed by Caleb Mansfield-Marr prior to the high speed crash shows him driving at excessive speed using cruise control.
The “brazen” 22-year-old later collided with another car in Bredbury, Greater Manchester, killing its passenger Jack Howe, 76.
Mr Howe’s wife, aged 74, was driving her Toyota car along Ashton Road, with him in the front passenger seat on August 5 last year.
The pensioner’s wife sustained serious and potentially life changing injuries and spent weeks in hospital.
Mansfield-Marr was sentenced to 12 years in prison.
