SHOCKING footage shows the moment a biker was flung into the air after colliding with a car which pulled out suddenly in front of him.

The horrific incident was thought to have taken place in Croydon, London.

The aftermath of the crash

A silver car is seen moving forward and reaches a junction before pulling out to turn right in front of a motorcyclist which smashes straight into the side of the motor.

The bike rider is forcefully flung from his bike onto the ground and skids across the pavement before coming to a halt.

Another video showing the aftermath of the crash shows the biker laying on the ground.

A woman kneels down next to him as shocked bystanders gather round.

The biker is later seen being helped to his feet by other good Samaritans.

He appears to be injured but it is unknown how badly this is.

And the right hand side of the silver car was left with hefty damage with shattered glass littered all over the side of the road.

The alarming footage went viral on social media and viewers were quick to weigh in with their opinions in the comment section.

Many thought the car driver was at fault.

One wrote: “Car at fault. Intervening with main road from a side road. Hope the biker is ok and nothing too serious.”

“The biker is 100 per cent not at fault,” said another.

But some others believed that the motorcyclist should have been travelling slower.

A viewer wrote: “Bet the biker wishes he was doing the speed limit 20, he would have easily stopped.”

While some believed that both motorists should share the blame.

Another said: “Biker was going way too fast, but car should have seen him coming. Both at fault.”

“That bike was not doing 20mph. But that car should not have pulled out when he’s that close,” agreed a second.

The Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment.
