In a thrilling clash, Coventry scored two goals in stoppage time to book their trip to Wembley.

Ellis Simms equalised in the 97th minute before Haji Wright found the back of the net as the clock hit 100 minutes.

Robins, 54, celebrated the winner wildly and deliberately directed his joy towards a ball boy, who managed to wind him up earlier in the cup tie.

The ex-Manchester United hero sprinted up to the kid with his arms aloft and crouched down to get close to his face.

After walking away, Robins then turned back to aim a fist pump at the ball boy.

The Coventry boss has since apologised, saying: “The young kid had earlier dropped the ball and walked away smiling.

“It really annoyed me, so I celebrated in front of him.

“I don’t show emotion often but that’s what the FA Cup does to you.”

His behaviour has been slammed by Wolves gaffer Gary O’Neil, who took aim at Robins in his post-match press conference.

O’Neil said: “He apologised but to celebrate in a young boy’s face is disgusting.

“The boy is really upset. It shouldn’t happen.

“I thought it was really important for me to speak to Mark about it because they’re just kids doing a job.”

Coventry now have a semi-final to look forward to and remain in the hunt for promotion to the Premier League.

They are just four points off the play-offs in eighth.

Meanwhile, things got worse for Wolves as O’Neil revealed that star man Pedro Neto could be out injured for the rest of the season.
