The heated argument was captured on camera after Phillies outsider Harrison Bader launched a stunning home run into the left field seats during a game against the Marlins on Friday.
After making the incredible hit, at least six fans raced into the empty blue seats to try to snatch the ball at LoanDepot Park.
But the boy’s dad, wearing a red Phillies shirt, managed to get there before anyone else.
However, the ordeal was far from an open and shut case.
When the proud dad returned to his boy and handed him the incredible birthday present, a raging fan approached the ecstatic pair.
The boy, called Lincoln, was over the moon for mere seconds – before the grey haired woman grabbed his dad’s shoulder and ordered them to give the ball to her.
According to fan-recorded footage, she said: “You took it from me. It was in my hand.”
The seething woman continued to berate the dad while Lincoln watched on terrified.
The dad and woman got into a fiery quarrel, with the two pointing at where the ball was picked up.
After a few seconds of tense negotiations, the dad decided to make a shocking decision.
He ripped the ball from his son’s hands and handed the ball over to the woman – seemingly too tired to put up a fight.
Ungrateful, the new winner returned to her seat with an entitled frown.
Thankfully, the Phillies and the Marlins supported Lincoln following the blatant injustice.
A Marlins representative apologised before gifting the boy a prize pack.

The treasure chest contained various gifts, including baseballs for him and his sister, who was seated next to him during the dramatic ordeal.
A heartwarming video showed a team official handing Lincoln a “goodie bag” with lots of gifts inside.
The crowd cheered as the representative continued to apologise to Lincoln.
And it didn’t end there – after the game, Bader invited Lincoln to meet up, where he gave the little fan a signed bat.
A social media frenzy then ensued pouring praise on Lincoln and the teams while furiously slamming the woman.

One user said online: “Very well done! Shame on that fan for her arrogance and selfishness.”
Another chimed in: “The kid was happy with just getting a baseball and she had to make it all about herself and cause a scene.
“Glad the Phillies and Marlins stepped up and handled this with class.”
A third raged: “She still needs to give it back and apologize.”
It comes just days after a millionaire businessman who snatched a cap from the hands of a young tennis fan at the US Open issued a grovelling apology.
In a full mea culpa, Polish magnate Piotr Szczerek said he made “a huge mistake” when he swiped the hat from the youngster’s grasp.
Footage of the incident – captured moments after Kamil Majchrzak’s five-set victory – went viral and saw Szczerek branded the “most hated man on the internet”.
