DREAM TEAM managers should know about Antoine Semenyo by now but too many remain ignorant.
The Bournemouth midfielder was among the most underutilised players in the game last season and, while it’s early days, his ownership ahead of the 2025/26 campaign is a modest 2.5% at present.

In fairness, Semenyo’s low ownership may be because the Cherries are due to face defending champions Liverpool at Anfield in Gameweek 1.
Needless to say, this difficult fixture is a valid reason to stay clear of the 25-year-old from the get-go but our latest SCOUT REPORT seeks to convince Dream Team bosses of his credentials in a broader sense.
After all, Gameweek 1 is just the start.
Semenyo racked up 262 points last season at an impressive average of 6.2 per game.
However, the most interesting stat about the Ghana international regards shots on target.
In 2024/25, only three midfielders registered more shots on target than Semenyo’s tally of 46: Cole Palmer (57), Alejandro Garnacho (53), Bruno Fernandes (50).
It’s worth noting that those three players had additional European fixtures to bolster their schedule.

In the Premier League, only Mohamed Salah, Erling Haaland and Palmer let fly with more shots than Semenyo.
This is all to reinforce what every Bournemouth supporter already knows; their No24 is not shy when an opportunity presents itself.
There are many avenues to points in the world of Dream Team these days but it’s truer than ever that gaffers need to stack their XI with plenty of firepower if they are to be competitive.
Semenyo’s shot-happy nature means he’s an asset worthy of due consideration when the fixtures align for Andoni Iraola’s side.

Bournemouth’s unenviable trip to Anfield represents a tough opening but they follow that up with a home game against Wolves plus a Carabao Cup fixture (opponent TBC) in Gameweek 2.
Might Semenyo be a smart selection for the first double Gameweek of the season?
He finished last season with 13 goals and nine assists to his name – only seven players in his position found the net more often in all competitions.
