SIX people have been injured by two Caucasian Shepherds in a terrifying dog attack.

A 17-year-old girl and man, 47, have been arrested following the horror attacks.

Police were scrambled to Bardon Hill, Leicestershire, on August 21 following reports two on-the-loose dogs were attacking people.

While speaking to a victim at the scene, a second call was made stating three further people had been bitten by a dog.

Two others also came forward to report they were injured – with a total of six people requiring medical treatment.

Backup was swiftly called in and firearms officers and a police dog now joined the hunt for the two out of control hounds.

The two loose dogs were eventually found and safely taken to secure kennels – with cops confirming they were both Caucasian Shepherds.

A total of six people are believed to have suffered injuries requiring medical treatment in the attacks.

A girl and a man were arrested on suspicion of being in charge of a dangerously out of control dog in a public place.

The man was also arrested on two offences under the Animal Welfare Act.

Both have been released under investigation while officers continue to probe the attacks.

Due to a prior report being made to police concerning the dogs, the force has made a referral to the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
