KRIS BOYD followed Rangers fans at Ibrox last week by WALKING OUT of his seat in the Sky Sports studio during the 6-0 humiliation by Club Brugge.

Rangers found themselves FIVE goals down at half-time in Belgium after a nightmare display on the continent from Russell Martin’s men.

Sky Sports presenter Mike Wedderburn was surprised when he tried to go to Kris Boyd in the studio

Ibrox legend and SunSport columnist Boyd was covering the game live for the broadcaster and couldn’t believe his eyes when it continued to get worse and worse for his former team.

He was a busy man on the night as presenter Mike Wedderburn continued to go to him live on the studio for any updates – and there were plenty.

Boydy was a frustrated man watching on as Gers continued to ship goal after goal to the hosts after being reduced to 10 men following Max Aarons’ red card eight minutes in.

After that sending off when it was 1-0 on the night, Boyd admitted: “You’ve just got to laugh because if you don’t you’ll cry.”

That didn’t stop him from giving his honest analysis of each goal as they went in – until Club Brugge made it six.

Presenter Wedderburn was left stunned when Boyd was nowhere to be seen when he turned to him in the studio when Christos Tzolis extended the lead by another goal in the 50th minute.

Feeling sympathy for the ex-Rangers player, he said: “He had five to watch the last time we were with him – there’s been another one, Kris….”

Wedderburn wasn’t met with Boydy himself, but a cardboard cut-out of the pundit – possibly held up by the Rangers hero – instead.

The presenter then laughed: “I cannot work in these conditions. 6-0 Club Brugge, I think Kris has given it up and has gone home.”

Boyd, however, didn’t actually go home and instead returned to his usual form moments later.

With a big smile on his face, he said: “I’m back! It’s six and it’s Tsolis (who scored).

“It was a ball into the edge of the box and he just passed it by Jack Butland.

“This is absolutely embarrassing. You speak about performances that get managers the sack – this is heading in that direction.

“I struggle to see a way bac for Russell after this. Fans were already on his case. It’s going be a long way back for him now.£
