As is customary with most clubs nowadays, Guadalajara’s official Twitter account shared a video graphic of striker Francisco Santano celebrating after he bagged the final goal of their 4-1 rout.

But it went viral as it appeared that the 30-year-old was having an intimate moment with himself.

The clip showed Santano with his back to the camera frantically moving his right hand in what appeared to be a rubbing motion.

Fans were left aghast at the first few seconds of the clip, which started doing the rounds days after the match.

But it soon became apparent that he was simulating the rude act when he turned around to reveal he was pretending to brush one of his boots.

Fans were quick to comment, with one saying: “This is really edgy…like…too edgy.

“But hey, who are we to judge, right? Right?”

Another said: “This is so weird.”

Another chimed in: “Whoever brought this idea should be arrested.”

One shocked viewer said: “Weirdest goal announcement video of all time.”

Santano has made six appearances for Guadalajara in all competitions so far this season, with his goal against Illescas being his sole contribution to the team.

CD Guadalajara will be back in action on Wednesday night, welcoming Talavera to the Municipal soccer field Pedro Escartin.
