It was also Bunting’s first-ever Euro Tour title and it took him up a place in the darts rankings to World No.4.
He picked up the £30k prize and said: “It feels unbelievable to be honest.
“I’m just so happy to get the win, coming in with a lot of confidence after winning in the Premier League after eight weeks without a victory.
“Commiserations to Nathan because he didn’t play his best there. I don’t know whether he’s struggling with a bit of an injury.
“We got to the same hypnotherapist, really close friends and I wish him all the best. I’m sure there’s more battles that we are going to have.
“It’s been amazing here. I love coming to Germany and playing in front of these fans.
“The Premier League was a massive catalyst to what I’ve done these last few days.
“I know I’ve moved to World No.4 which is a massive thing for me. I’m Bulletproof, nothing to lose, fire away, fire away. Through thick and thin I always find a way.

Bunting went into an early lead but Aspinall hauled himself level at 3-3 thanks to three bullseye finishes, the latter being a ‘Small Fish’ 130 kill.
However Bunting then delivered a clinical three legs to stretch clear by 6-3. He soon wrapped it up with double 10.
Aspinall said: “I was Donald Ducked. I’m not going to lie, I ran out of steam.
“I’m not going to Leicester, I’m going to go and see the physio. Then we’ll play in Manchester on Thursday night.”
