A NEWBORN baby boy left his maternity ward stunned at his record-smashing size at birth.
The kid is already wearing clothes designed for a nine-month old child, and has been dubbed a “Sumo” baby.

Baby Annan entered the world at St. Joseph’s Hospital-South in Riverview, Florida on September 3.
But ward nurses were gobsmacked at the sheer size of the child at his time of birth.
In a hospital record, he weighted a whopping 13 pounds, 15 ounces – which is twice the size of an average newborn.
His mother Daniella Hines, 40, told Today: “He was the talk of the maternity ward.”
Annan, who was delivered via a C-section, is the second child of Daniella and her husband Andre.
Their first kid Andre Jr. was born weighing a still hefty 12 pounds, 11 ounces.
But nonetheless, Daniella was still startled at the record her newborn baby set.
She said: “I remember thinking, ‘What are they pulling out of me?’
“‘What is going on here?’ I felt so much pressure.”
Daniella recounted how stunned she was when she saw her new child for the first time.
“He was so big,” she said. “I was like, ‘Whose baby is this? He came out of me?’”
She believes that her own height and that of her husband contributed to their large offspring.
Daniella is six foot tall, while her husband stands at six feet and two inches.
Before long, baby Annan was the talk of the maternity ward.
“Everybody starts coming in because it’s not every day you see an almost 14 pound baby pop out,” Daniella added.
“He was like a little celebrity.”
A spokesperson for the hospital described Annan as a “big miracle”.
They posted on Facebook: “Annan is believed to be among the biggest babies, if not the biggest baby, ever born at St. Joseph’s Hospital-South.”
Hines’ husband, Andre revealed on social media that baby Annan has already been nicknamed “Sumo”.
Daniella wrote earlier this week: “It’s been almost a week since our little or should I say BIG bundle of joy made his debut into this world.
“Who knew he would be a baby celebrity.
“Now the focus is on making sure he stays healthy and taking back all these small clothes and size newborn/number 1 diapers that won’t fit.”
