Braverman was born Sue-Ellen Cassiana Fernandes on April 3, 1980, to a Kenyan mother and Mauritian father.

She was born in Harrow and grew up in Wembley.

Earlier this year The Sun revealed how Braverman is actually named Sue-Ellen after a lead character in TV soap Dallas.

The US show was massively popular when the Home Secretary was born in 1980.

Fiesty Sue-Ellen Ewing — played by Linda Gray — was the wife of villainous oil baron J.R Ewing (Larry Hagman).

Suella said: “So my name is actually Sue-Ellen, because my mum was a fan of Dallas and thought this would be a great name for her daughter. I’ve been plagued ever since.

“But my primary school teachers didn’t like the hyphen. So they came up with Suella on my little tag for my coat and that stuck.”

She added: “I was actually more of a Dynasty fan — but that might be controversial.”

Braverman studied law at Queens’ College, Cambridge, and completed a Master’s in European and French law at Pantheon-Sorbonne University.

During her undergraduate studies, Braverman was President of the Cambridge University Conservative Association.

She qualified as an attorney in New York state after sitting the NY Bar exams.

On her website she states she is a Conservative because “we are the party that says it doesn’t matter where you start, it’s about where you are going”.

Suella married Rael Braverman in February 2018 at a wedding that was attended by over 100 people.

The couple have two children together – son George, who was born in July 2019, and daughter Gabriella, who was born in March 2021.

Braverman became the first cabinet minister to go on maternity leave after the birth of her daughter.

It comes after Braverman was sacked after being accused of fuelling violent Armistice Day clashes by slamming Met Police chiefs.

In a short statement the ex-cabinet minister said: “It has been the greatest privilege of my life to serve as Home Secretary.

“I will have more to say in due course.”

Embattled Rishi Sunak is conducting a major cabinet reshuffle as Tory MPs descend into civil war.

Foreign Secretary James Cleverly will replace Ms Braverman as Home Secretary.

And in a dramatic twist ex-PM David Cameron has made a sensational political comeback as Foreign Secretary.

Meanwhile, Health Minister Neil O’Brien, a chief architect of the new smoking ban, quit his role.

And veteran Schools Minister Nick Gibb stood down from the government.
