The man is believed to have left the Warrington store without paying.
But the Cheshire Police appeal was met with laughter online, when commenters clocked the man’s resemblance to the director of Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.
One, Mark Kerfoot, joked: “Guy Ritchie in Warrington. Wow.”
Kirsty Algie wrote: “Bold as brass, not a care in the world.”
Meanwhile, Lee James added: “Cost of living has got him robbing.”
The ribbing has not deterred cops from probing the thefts on September 10 and September 25.

“We would like to speak to the man pictured in the CCTV image.
“If anyone recognises this man, please contact us via cheshire.police.uk/tell-us or call 101, quoting IML-1654528.
