TWO teenage girls were “inappropriately touched” by two men while walking through a popular park.

The 15-year-old victims were wandering through the football fields in Leamington, Warwickshire when they were assaulted, cops said.

An investigation has since been launched into the incident, which took place at 9.45pm on Saturday, June 21.

One of the suspects is thought to have touched the girls over their clothing before both men left the field.

Warwickshire Police have described the suspect as being in his late teens, around 6ft tall, with short black hair.

At the time of the assault, he was reportedly wearing a black T-shirt and dark shorts.

Meanwhile, the second lad, who is said to be slightly shorter, was dressed in a white T-shirt.

Cops said the girl were left “shaken” afterwards but were “uninjured”.

Anyone with any information is being urged to contact the police quoting crime number 23/26351/25.

CCTV footage is also being collected and analysed as part of the force’s investigation.

In a statement, Warwickshire police said “We’ve been pursuing a number of lines of enquiry as part of our ongoing investigation into this incident including speaking to the victims and collecting CCTV footage.

“We know there were people in the park that evening and as it was the longest day of the year, we’re hoping it might help to jog someone’s memory who was there but may not have realised what was happening.

“If you witnessed the incident or perhaps saw the girls and the men, please share it with us.

“Any information, no matter how small, could be significant to our investigation.”
