A HAVE-a-go hero who chased off a gang of bike thieves after arming herself with a spade yesterday admitted: “I was like a raging bull.”
Brave Tami Dacre, 50, grabbed the shovel after charging out of her home to confront two balaclava-clad raiders.

Incredible CCTV footage showed her rushing towards the danger – screaming: “You f***ing w***ers, f*** off.”
The startled pair quickly turned on their heels and fled as Tami raced towards them before making their escape in a getaway car.
Last night, the mum-of-four insisted she would do the same again and urged more people to step in like she did.
She told The Sun: “It really grinds my gears to think that no one would help out in that kind of situation.
“I didn’t even need to think about it. I have never felt so much anger in my life.
“These people, they don’t expect to be challenged. They think they can get away with it, even in broad daylight.
“The problem is too many people have been brainwashed to think they shouldn’t intervene.
“We shouldn’t stand back in these situations. My message to people is ‘don’t be a bystander – help’.
“The world will be a much more dangerous place if people aren’t willing to get stuck in.
“It’s all about strength in numbers.
“We’ve lost the sense of community and responsibility to others.”
Crime-fighting Tami, of Hopwood, Worcestershire, said she was having a cuppa in her kitchen when she heard cars beeping their horns last Tuesday.
She looked out and saw the cyclist on the ground wrestling with the raiders who were demanding he let go of his bike.
Single Tami added: “The robbers had tried to take the bike off him four times before he got to my drive. “I didn’t realise until I got out there but he’s a friend’s husband.
“There were six young lads in the car, all of them very young. Two jumped out to try and get the bike.
“They were both wearing balaclavas.
“The adrenaline just kicked in and I grabbed the shovel, which was propped up against the wall, and went after them.
“They weren’t expecting it and ran. They were surprised that someone was willing to take them on.
“But I wouldn’t hesitate to do it again. I’m afraid that’s what’s missing in our community these days.
“Just look at the video – they run, they absolutely run.
“They do it in broad daylight because they don’t care. They think that everyone’s scared.
“And they think everyone’s going to let them just do what they want.
“Don’t let them do what they want.”
The getaway car, which was stolen and running on fake plates, was pursued by another have-a-go hero in a BMW before being abandoned.
A spokeswoman for West Mercia Police said: “On October 3 we received a report of an attempted robbery that had taken place shortly after 9.30am in Hopwood.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
