GRAND NATIONAL-winning trainer Henry de Bromhead has been sent a potential superstar – with the man who bought the horse saying: “The future looks huge.”
Gold Cup hero de Bromhead, who won racing’s most prestigious race with Minella Indo and A Plus Tard in 2021 and 2022, will take charge of Matin Midi Et Soir.

Henry de Bromhead will train Matin Midi Et Soir – who is judged to be among France’s top juveniles heading over to Ireland for the new jumps seasonSportsfile
The three-year-old has won two of his three career runs and finished second in the other.
His most recent victory, in last month’s Grade 3 Prix Robert Lejeune at Auteuil in France, caught the eye of top owners Robcour.
And it has been confirmed that they have since purchased the horse from Simon Munir and Isaac Souede, the men behind the famous double green silks.
Matin Midi Et Soir won on debut under Bryony Frost and has career earnings of just under £100,000 already.
He is as short as 12-1 for March’s Triumph Hurdle, where French recruits flood the market at this very early stage.
But there is no denying that Matin Midi Et Soir has plenty going for him.
Top bloodstock agent Anthony Bromley, who has been behind the likes of Altior, Sprinter Sacre and Kauto Star, purchased Matin Midi Et Soir originally.
And after the gelding’s most recent win he wrote on X: “A special horse I think.
“Bought 50 per cent of him as a two-year-old in the field for Simon Munir and Isaac Souede from his breeder and part-owner Haras de Saint Voir.
“Future looks huge…”
Robcour are no strangers to success at the Festival.
They bagged the Stayers’ Hurdle 1-2 last season courtesy of Bob Olinger and Teahupoo.
While Heart Wood was second in the Ryanair to Fact To File and Gentlemansgame finished a brave third in the Gold Cup.
De Bromhead is famed for his success with Rachael Blackmore.
But after her retirement Darragh O’Keeffe will be the No1 stable jockey for the Waterford trainer.
Munir and Souede, who have had much success over jumps and the Flat, are altering their relationship with racing somewhat.
They have set up a new venture – Jet Bloodstock – which will buy, race and sell young National Hunt horses.
