THREE people have been hospitalised following a serious crash that has blocked busy city centre routes.
Drivers can expect to face severe delays and congestion in the Bristol area.

Emergency services were called to Plimsoll Swing Bridge, Brunel Way, shortly before 12:20pm today.
One of the people taken to hospital is facing potentially life-threatening injuries, according to Avon and Somerset Police.
The A3029 Brunel Way is currently closed between its junction with the A370 and Bristol Gate.
Cops have said an investigation is ongoing at the scene of the collision.
The horror crash involved two cars and a van.
Road closures are in place at the Ashmead Way, Cabot Way, Humphrey Davy Way and Mcadam Way.
Traffic management site Inrix has said there are severe delays in the area, with traffic queuing back to the Failand turn-off.
Routes through Leigh Woods, Clifton Down and Brandon Hill are also heavily congested, according to the site.
Drivers can also expect to be met with heavy traffic on the A4 Portway.
A police spokesperson said: “Three people have gone to hospital. Two went by ambulance.
“One of these has injuries currently described as potentially life-threatening, the other has serious injuries not believed to be either life-threatening or life-changing.
“The A3029 Brunel Way is closed between its junctions with the A370 and Bristol Gate while investigations are completed and pending recovery of the vehicles.
“Road closures are in place at the junctions with Ashmead Way, Cabot Way, Humphrey Davy Way and Mcadam Way.
