And his third lover, Kylie Hubbard, came forward to support them when he flew into a rage over being ditched and landed in court.
The three have now spoken out to highlight their torment — but Kirsty said: “The one good thing to come out of this is our friendship.”
The nursery manager, 36, thought she had found the man of her dreams when she matched with the former soldier on Plenty of Fish.
Kirsty said: “We were exclusive straight away — or so I thought.”
But after two years, Chloe, 24, called her out of the blue and asked: “Are you Kirsty and are you going out with Paul?”
Kirsty, of Sunderland, said: “I said I was Kirsty and yes, I was going out with Paul.
“She said, ‘So am I’. I was traumatised.”
Waste management worker Chloe, of Washington, Tyne and Wear, was dating Sandow but became suspicious he might be seeing someone called Kirsty and linked her to a number saved in his phone as ‘Kevin’.
She said: “I rang it. When Kirsty answered my heart dropped.
“I realised he was a very deceiving man.”
The pair met, found that they got on well and were soon texting each other as they prepared to dump him.
Kirsty said: “As we started texting I had the idea of sending each other a prosecco glass emoji so the other one would know the coast was clear and it was safe to talk.
“I changed my locks, went to stay at my mum’s and then texted him to say I knew he had been cheating on me and it was over.”
When she refused to take him back he bombarded her with messages and allegedly threatened her with a knife.
He was arrested and charged with harassment which led to mum-of-one Kylie, 35, of Sunderland, discovering from the name on his bail sheet that he had also cheated on her.
Kylie said: “When I got in touch with the other two, it was great because no one else could understand what we had all been through.”
After four years of legal delays, Sandow admitted harassment and was given a suspended prison sentence at Newcastle crown court.
Kirsty said it was too lenient but added: “It’s incredible to have developed friendships through a love rat.”
Sandow now has a new partner and works as a scallop diver in Orkney.
He accused the women of ganging up on him, saying: “I categorically deny everything they say.
“Even the court case was fictional.”
