The system would be designed to display how a player’s heart rate would change in different moments in a game.
This would give fans an insight into how their rhythm could be affected if they are about to take an important kick or in a scrum.
The Times has claimed talks are underway between TNT Sports and World Rugby, Prem Rugby and player groups.
There are suggested to be some issues suggested with players being comfortable with their personal health data being shared.
The report has stated that the information would not be broadcast live but used in post-game analysis.
TNT Sport owners Warner Bros Discovery executive vice-president Scott Young has insisted that it would bring fans watching from home closer to the action.
He said: “We absolutely want to bring that into our production.
“The insight into the human endurance and the athleticism of professional rugby players is not really seen on television, it’s more seen when you’re there in the grandstands.

“TV can make that less impactful.
“If you could bring in the biometrics of a player, that’s really important.
“This is their personal data, so you have to be really careful working with the players, not just the clubs, being comfortable sharing that personal data.
“It also can’t have any impact, what they are wearing, with their ability to compete.
“Very few normal human beings can relate to some of the data that comes out. Heart-rate is something we can all relate to.
“That data has got to sit you back in your chair and make you go: ‘That is superhuman.’

“If we are just putting out data that people don’t understand, or that doesn’t matter, we have missed an opportunity.”
The changes would need to be approved by World Rugby as it would affect players’ kits.
It is believed that Prem Rugby is in favour of the move which might bring more fans to the sport.
TNT Sports is already using this technology in their coverage of cycling.
