A TODDLER was found wandering the streets alone wearing just a nappy as cops launch an investigation.
The tot was found by passersby in Pill Mill, Newport, just before 7am today according to police.
Reports on social media suggest the youngster was non-verbal and had been found wearing only nappies whilst holding onto the toy.
Cops later confirmed the child had been returned to his parents.
Gwent Police: “We received a report of a young boy being found by a member of the public in Newport at around 6.55am on Thursday 20 March.
“The child is currently safe with our officers while they speak with his parents to establish the circumstances.”
