A TODDLER is fighting for his life after a horror smash on a busy roundabout.

A 31-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

The crash involved three cars

Lincolnshire police said that three cars were involved in the collision on the A17 – a white Audi, a silver Kia Ceed and a black Volkswagen Passat.

The 20-month-old was airlifted to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

The other people in the other vehicles sustained minor injuries.

The crash happened close to the Holdingham roundabout at Sleaford at around 4.45pm on March 19.

The suspect remains in police custody and police are urging witnesses to come forward.

A police appeal said: “Were you travelling along the A17 between Sleaford and Newark between 4.15pm and 4.45pm yesterday (Wednesday 19 March)?

“Did you see a dark coloured VW Passat travelling eastbound on the A17 from the Newark area, heading in the direction of Sleaford?

“Do you have dashcam which might have captured the collision itself of the vehicles involved prior to the collision? If so, please get in touch with us.”
