TOMMY FURY has been accused of lying about finishing a 100km World Championship level triathlon – after it emerged he DIDN’T complete the course.

Fury – the younger half-brother of Tyson – took part in his first triathlon along the French Riviera last weekend after just ten days of training.

The former Love Islander, who was emotionally reunited with partner Molly-Mae Hague and daughter Bambi at the finish line, wrote afterwards: “I left it all out in the French Riviera. 100km triathlon on 10 days training…. completed.”

She shared how “proud” she was. Then after video emerged of him staggering over the finish line, he wrote: “Go ahead and roast my form… but could you sprint finish after a 100km triathlon?”

The gruelling course is made up of three stages: a 2km swim, an 80km bike leg and finally an 18km run to the end.

But it was reported on Wednesday that there was a discrepancy in Fury’s race – which the 11-0 boxer claimed to have “completed”.

According to Marathon Investigation, Fury did not actually finish the event, pointing to his bike splits, which showed he was not logged beyond the 48km point.

A search for Fury’s official time on the Sportstats website will reveal a large DID NOT FINISH next to his name.

But, it made him one of 93 athletes not to have completed the route- and there was a valid reason why they didn’t have a chance to go the distance.

The amateur groups were tasked with six laps of around 13km – but were unable to finish the bike leg before the roads had to be re-opened.

The Professional Triathletes Organisation said: “Due to our permit for the road closures in France, unfortunately Tommy and some other athletes in the 100km amateur race were unable to complete the bike course before the cut-off time.

“However, given our philosophy to grow the sport and encourage new athletes, we wanted to give them as full an experience as possible.

“So they were all given the opportunity to do the 18km run and cross the finish line.”

Ironman triathlete Noel Mulkey commented on Fury’s account: “Missed the swim cut off, and bike cut off? Just be honest.”

Another said: “DNF, which is fine but own IT!”

A third said: “You got a DN .. don’t lie.”

But someone else argued: “Insane achievement, all the negative comments are a sign of peoples jealousy of what you are achieving as a human as they can’t do it!

“Be proud what you accomplished its insane with only 0.01% of the worlds population ever completing this!”

Fury, 26, returned to the boxing ring in May with victory over little-known Bosnian Kenan Hanjalic in Budapest.

It was his first fight since undergoing hand surgery in the wake of his October 2023 win over YouTube star KSI, 32, which came after beating Jake Paul, 28.

But Fury suffered further hand injuries in his comeback bout – with his boxing future uncertain.

The 2019 Love Islander – who met Molly-Mae in the ITV villa – has been keeping fit despite his hand issues.

He also took part in the Great North Run this weekend – a 13.1 mile half-marathon.

Molly-Mae and baby Bambi had flown out to the South of France to surprise Fury – who said the finish-line reunion was his race “highlight.”
