FAKE medals police chief Nick Adderley is in line for a bumper pay rise — despite facing a criminal investigation.

But his £162,411 salary will rise to £167,876 at the start of next month, according to a memo published by the Home Office.
Between his suspension on October 16 and the last day of his forthcoming misconduct hearing he will earn £101,005.92.
His projected salary increase is in line with other police bosses from similar size forces.
Adderley, 57, faces a three-day hearing on May 28 for claiming he served in the Navy for ten years before joining the police in 1992. For at least one year, he was a pub licensee.
Last month, the CPS was handed an evidence file and he could face criminal charges.
Adderley says the medal was a gift.
He denies wrongdoing.
Adderley has been quizzed under caution by IOPC investigators.
Regional director Emily Barry said: “We have submitted an evidential report.
“It will be for the CPS to consider whether to bring any criminal charge.”
She said a referral “is made when the IOPC investigation indicates a criminal offence may have been committed”.
She added: “It does not mean criminal charges will necessarily follow.”
