WORLD POOL makes its return to British racing on Saturday with punters set for big value at Newmarket.

That tends to mean bigger payouts as bettors in this country contribute to a larger worldwide pool, with the returns beating the price offered by standard SP on plenty of occasions.

For those not aware, the World Pool is a collaboration between several countries around the world.

It allows bettors to bet into the same pool as those from those countries on specific racedays.

Being able to bet into the same pool as the likes of Hong Kong, Australia, France and the US, generates greater liquidity while also being able to go against fellow bettors from across the globe.

This means that punters can place larger, more significant bets without having an impact on a horse’s price.

Significant differences can arise from the price offered on World Pool to that offered by the bookmakers, particularly with jockeys and trainers with international profiles generally being over-bet, with lesser known connections overlooked.
