A BODY has been found in the search for a young woman after she suddenly disappeared last month.
Cops had previously expressed “concern for her welfare” and have confirmed that her family have been informed of the discovery.
Wania, from Egham, Surrey, went missing on October 23.
Surrey Police quickly established an urgent appeal to help locate her.
Her photo was circulated around the county, with locals asked to report any sighting of her.
She was believed to have connections to both Egham and Crawley in Sussex.
However, the force has now confirmed that a body has been found in the River Thames.
While the woman is yet to be identified, officers believe it to be Wania.
A spokesperson for the force said: “A body, believed to be that of missing woman Wania from Egham, was found in the River Thames earlier today.
“Although formal identification is yet to take place, Wania’s family are aware and our thoughts remain with them at this difficult time.
“Enquiries remain ongoing to establish the circumstances of the death, although it is not believed to be suspicious or that there is any third-party involvement at this time.
“We would like to thank everyone who shared our appeal and assisted with the search.”
