Missing 6ft 8ins tall hiker Kieran, 27, from Worcestershire, disappeared after he reached the 3,560ft summit at around 7am on Monday.
He was last spotted at Bwlch Glas shortly before 12pm and an alert was raised that afternoon, say North Wales Live.
A multi-agency search operation was launched to locate Kieran as the police became increasingly concerned for his welfare.
They previously said “extensive searches” were being carried out on the rugged terrain after Kieran failed to return from his walk in North Wales.
Mountain rescue teams, a Coastguard helicopter and members of the public were also involved in the search.
The search carried on into Tuesday where police confirmed Kieran’s body had been discovered.
His family have been informed and the coroner has been made aware.
Chief Inspector Emma Parry of North Wales Police said: “My deepest condolences remain with Kieran’s family at this extremely difficult time.
“This is not the outcome we had hoped for, and I would once again thank partner agencies and all those who supported our searches.
“The family would also like to thank the mountain rescue teams who assisted in the search for Kieran, along with all other agencies involved.”
In a previous statement, the force had said: “Kieran was last seen shortly before 12pm Monday, September 29, on Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) in the Bwlch Glas area near the Pyg Track.
“He is described as wearing a camouflage coat and has a dark beard.”
Snowdon is Britain’s busiest mountain and attracts around 600,000 hikers each year.
The surrounding National Park welcomes a further four million annual visitors.
