A TRAIN has reportedly caught fire with smoke billowing from the engine – and all lines blocked sparking huge delays for passengers.

ScotRail has said: “Due to an incident between Leuchars and Dundee, the line has been closed.”
National Rail added: “A fault on a train between Dundee and Leuchars means that all lines are blocked.
“Trains running between Dundee and Kirkcaldy may be cancelled, delayed or revised.”
Disruption is expected to last until midday.
One man who was passing the incident told The Courier: “There was smoke coming out of the engine and the firefighters are hosing it down.
“It’s stopped on the line near the flats on Riverside Drive. I can’t see any passengers – maybe they have already been taken off the train.
“There are lots of firefighters and police parked in the layby.”
One person wrote on X: “Oooerrr, train on fire Riverside Drive Dundee.”
Another added: “Train on fire – avoid Riverside Dundee at the moment.”
ScotRail has said the services for Edinburgh to Aberdeen/Dundee and Glasgow Queen to Aberdeen all face “delays, alterations and cancellations”.
