DREAM TEAM managers have until 6:30pm on October 3rd to confirm their transfers for Gameweek 7 — don’t get caught out by the Friday night kick-off.

As usual, we’ve assembled some transfer targets we believe are worthy of serious consideration.

Gabriel (£4.9m)

Many Dream Team bosses would have already planned to recruit Arsenal defenders prior to Gameweek 7 as their fixtures appear relatively favourable from now until the November international break, starting with a home game against West Ham.

And Gabriel’s haul of 19 points in Gameweek 6 has only strengthened the case for such a strategy.

The commanding centre-back scored his side’s dramatic late winner at St James’ Park, one again displaying his set-piece threat, before contributing to a clean sheet against Olympiakos on Wednesday night.

At the time of writing, Gabriel is third in the overall rankings having amassed 59 points in total.

One of the two men above him is team-mate Jurrien Timber (£5.2m), who is an equally strong option.

Although opting for Gabriel over the Dutchman makes sense from a financial viewpoint ahead of the latest price changes.

The only concern is that the Brazilian appeared to pick up an injury in the Champions League but, after the game, Mikel Arteta said: “I think he’s going to be okay. He could carry on but we decided not to take any risks.”

The Spanish tactician will address the media again before the Gameweek 7 deadline.

Jeremy Doku (£4m)

This is a classic case of: we told you so.

We recommended the tricky Belgian winger in last week’s transfer targets and he duly repaid our faith with a 19-point return.

17 of those points came against Burnley, when he provided two assists and earned maximum bonus points.

We’re including Doku again this week because he has progressed from promising differential to one of the best midfield options in the game.

Manchester City travel to Brentford this Sunday in what has to be deemed a favourable match-up — only Burnley have conceded more shots than the Bees in the Premier League this season.

We won’t insult your intelligence by explaining why Erling Haaland (£7.7m) is a must-have asset but many of the brave gaffers who have gone without the prolific poacher until now have quietly admitted defeat this week.

Ismaila Sarr (£4.3m)

Crystal Palace’s No7 marked his return from injury in fine style with a ten-point haul against Liverpool last weekend.

It took him just nine minutes to pick up where he left with a goal that helped the Eagles defeat Arne Slot’s league leaders.

Sarr has scored three goals in four outings this term and averages 7.5 points-per-game.

Only three midfielders (minimum three appearances) boast a superior average at this stage.

Palace are the only top flight team yet to be beaten this season and Oliver Glasner will hope to preserve that status when he visits Everton on Sunday.

Fair warning, Sarr is likely to feature against Dynamo Kyiv in the Conference League later today which may impact his viability one way or the other.

Jean-Philippe Mateta (£4.6m), Dean Henderson (£3.7m) and all the first-choice defenders are also good selections at this moment in time.

Nick Woltemade (£3.9m)

It’s three goals in four starts for Newcastle’s big man since his move from Stuttgart.

The German striker bagged against Arsenal and Union-Saint Gilloise in Gameweek 6 and will surely increase in price once the deadline passes.

The Magpies’ fixtures look rather friendly across the next few weeks and if Woltemade maintains his strong start then there could be plenty of points on offer.

That being said, Yoane Wissa (£4.5m) is expected to return soon so it may be the case that Woltemade’s minutes are at risk after the international break but he’s a decent short-term punt against Nottingham Forest in Gameweek 7.

Alternatively, Anthony Gordon (£4.7m) has exploded into life after his 23-point return in Gameweek 6 and the revelation that he is Newcastle’s first-choice penalty-taker adds to his appeal.
