DONALD Trump has ripped into Joe Biden and said all of his pardons are “void and vacant” – claiming the ex-president signed them with “autopen”.

The Republican blasted his former political foe and accused him of knowing “nothing about” the slew of pardons he made before leaving office.

Trump took to his Truth Social account to rant about Biden’s pardons as he said: “The “Pardons” that Sleepy Joe Biden gave to the Unselect Committee of Political Thugs, and many others, are hereby declared VOID, VACANT, AND OF NO FURTHER FORCE OR EFFECT.”

The Republican claimed it was because Biden used autopen to sign the documents rather than doing so by hand.

Trump also claimed that his former political foe “did not know anything about them”.

He went on to again blast the “unselect Committee” who assisted Biden throughout his four years in office.

He alleged: “The fact is, they were probably responsible for the documents that were signed on their behalf without the knowledge or consent of the Worst President in the History of our Country, Crooked Joe Biden!”

Trump’s strong comments come after weeks of speculation over Biden’s presidency.

His reign as the 46th President of the United States has been rocked by claims his autopen signature was mechanically stamped on nearly every official document he signed in office.

Concerns over the legitimacy of the documents have also emerged after a bombshell report by the conservative Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project alleged Biden wasn’t always aware of what he was approving.

The report claims that Biden’s name was signed using an autopen —a mechanical device that replicates signatures — on nearly every executive order and official document during his four-year tenure.

The findings have prompted Missouri’s Republican Attorney General Andrew Bailey to demand a Justice Department investigation, warning that Biden’s cognitive decline may have allowed unelected staff to push through radical policies without his knowledge.

“If true, these executive orders, pardons, and all other actions are unconstitutional and legally void,” Bailey declared.

The Oversight Project said it gathered “every document we could find with Biden’s signature over the course of his presidency” and found that all but one — his July 2024 letter dropping out of the presidential race — used the identical autopen signature.

In a scathing social media post, the group quipped: “Whoever controlled the autopen controlled the presidency.”

A review by the Daily Mail of over 25 Biden executive orders on the Federal Register found that every single one bore the same signature.

A number of key figures were pardoned by Biden.

With less than 20 minutes remaining in Biden’s presidency, the White House announced he had pardoned five members of his family.

This included the former president’s sister Valerie Owens and her husband John Owens, brothers Francis Biden, James Biden, and James’ wife, Sara Jones as well as his own son Hunter.

Biden’s clemency actions also shielded Dr. Anthony Fauci, General Mark Milley, and former Representative Liz Cheney from political prosecution by Trump, who had previously threatened to go at his opponents upon a return to power.

What is an autopen?

AN autopen is a mechanical device that replicates a person’s signature with extreme precision.

It is commonly used by high-ranking officials, including U.S. presidents, to sign documents without requiring them to do so by hand each time.

The device works by tracing a pre-programmed signature template, ensuring consistency across multiple documents.

While autopens have been in use since at least the 19th century, their modern versions are electronically controlled and can produce signatures that look identical each time.

Autopens have been used by US Presidents dating back to Harry Truman, with Barack Obama using one to sign a major fiscal bill in 2013.

In politics, autopens have been a topic of controversy, especially when used for signing critical documents like executive orders, pardons, and legislation.

Some argue that their use is a necessary efficiency tool, while others claim it raises concerns about authenticity, legal validity, and whether the signer is actually aware of what is being approved.

Former President George W. Bush even had the Justice Department review the legality of autopen signatures but ultimately chose not to use it, fearing legal challenges.
