A COP who starred on a hit Channel 5 show has been banned from his force after sending sexist and racist texts.
Viewers who watched PC Andrew Doran feature on Motorway Cops: Catching Britain’s Speeders were shocked to discover he had written “offensive, improper, and discriminatory” messages.
The TV officer was also found to have a video “depicting extreme pornography” on his phone.
A misconduct hearing concluded the former officer would have been sacked if he hadn’t resigned last month.
The hearing heard the disgraced Cheshire Police cop sent, received and kept “inappropriate, sexist, racist, discriminatory, and unprofessional messages and material on his personal mobile phone”.
The offensive material was gathered and stored between 2018 and 2025.
PC Doran sent 17 sexists images and was sent nine, while he sent three racist pictures and received 11.
The misconduct hearing also hear he sent discriminatory images and one “improper or offensive” picture – which amounted to a criminal offence.
It was also alleged the shamed officer was sent “extreme pornography” in February 2021.
As reported by the Warrington Guardian, the hearing was told: “It is alleged that, as a serving police officer, in sending, receiving, or retaining the material, you have shown a clear lack of integrity through your actions, and displayed discriminatory views and behaviour which shows a lack of respect and courtesy towards others.
“You have behaved in such a manner as to discredit Cheshire Police, and the police service as a whole, thereby impacting public trust and confidence in policing.
“It is alleged you have not challenged or reported its content and retained possession of the material on your personal mobile device.”
Chief constable Mark Roberts concluded PC Doran would have been dismissed without notice, had he not already quit.
Instead, PC Doran has been barred from ever re-joining the force.
CC Roberts added how the cops actions were “undoubtedly gross misconduct”.
He also told the hearting there was “no explanation” for the disgraceful behaviour and “no excuse”.
The “totally unacceptable” messages sent and received by PC Doran were dubbed “offensive, improper, and discriminatory”.
