The rapist was the responsible for the all-round care of his 43-year-old victim with Retts syndrome at Marklund Hyde Center in Geneva, west of Chicago, Illinois.
The woman had the brain of an infant and could not talk, read, write, stand or use her hands, reports the Daily Herald.
In April 2024, she was rushed to hospital for liver and gallbladder tests, and it was then doctors made the sickening discovery.
By then, she was between 31 and 35 weeks pregnant – which meant almost ready to give birth.
The victim was suffering from a pregnancy complication called preeclampsia, which causes signs of liver or kidney damage.
Her condition meant she had a swollen mid-section which concealed the pregnancy, her mum testified in court.
An emergency Caesarean section was performed and the child, named R.J., was taken to neonatal intensive care for 11 weeks.
Tragically, the child did not make it.
Prosecutor Matthew Rodgers said on Friday: “R.J. didn’t live long in this world. But simply by coming into this world, he did justice for his mother.”
Fields was arrested after his DNA matched that of the baby.
The sicko tried to apologise during his sentencing, when he said: “There is no reason or set of experiences that could justify hurting anyone in any way.”
He added that his crime may have been influenced by prior drug use and experience of sexual abuse, according to the Daily Herald.
He pleaded guilty to aggravated criminal sexual assault January 14, and will live on the sex offenders register when he is released.
The prosecutor continued: “Isaiah Fields preyed on this vulnerable victim because of her physical and intellectual disability.

“While no sentence can undo the harm caused, today’s outcome ensures that the defendant will be held accountable for his despicable act.
“It also represents justice for the victim, her family and the Marklund community.”
The CEO of Marklund said in a news release: “We are satisfied to see justice served, and believe that we can all have a measure of closure to this evil act at long last.”
The conviction is for a Class X felony – the most serious in the state.
Fields must see out a minimum of 85 percent of his 25-year term before being eligible for parole.
