Two arrested in murder probe after man, 41, shot dead outside Costco

TWO people have been arrested after a man was shot dead outside a Costco earlier this week.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed it had now arrested the two individuals – a 41-year-old man and woman, 37 – following the horrific shooting of a man, 41, in Croydon, south London, on Thursday.

Cops said they had arrested the man on suspicion of murder as well as the woman on suspicion of assisting an offender.

An investigation was launched after officers were called to the scene of the shooting shortly after 5pm on Thursday.

There, emergency crews found the man suffering from gunshot wounds.

Despite being treated by paramedics, he tragically died at the scene.

Police explained his next of kin have been informed and that they are currently being supported by specially trained officers.

Detective Chief Inspector Dan Whitten said: “My thoughts remain with the victim’s family as they come to terms with this tragic loss.

“Our team of specially trained officers continue to support them as our investigation progresses.

“We would urge any witnesses to come forward and share information with us.”
