TWO teenage boys have been charged with rape and suffocation following an alleged attack at a flat in a major city.
The two boys, aged 14 and 16, were arrested in connection with the attack at a home on Princes Avenue in Hull on July 3.
Humberside Police said both boys had since been charged with rape, false imprisonment, actual bodily harm and suffocation, while the 16-year-old has also been charged with sexual assault and harassment.
The boys – who cannot be named for legal reasons due to their age – appeared at Hull Magistrates’ Court this morning.
Police say a 17-year-old who was arrested during the investigation has since been released without charge.
