Two boys arrested on suspicion of murdering Max Dixon, 16, & Mason Rist, 15, who were stabbed to death in Bristol

POLICE are quizzing three more people including a 46-year-old woman over the deaths of two teenage boys.

Mason Rist, 15, and 16-year-old Max Dixon were stabbed to death in the street as they walked home in Bristol on Saturday.

Officers confirmed today they have made three more arrests – bringing the total number of suspects held to eight.

The latest suspects are two boys aged 15 and 16, who are being quizzed on suspicion of murder.

A 46-year-old woman is also in custody on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.

Bristol Commander Superintendent Mark Runacres said: “Detectives from the Major Crime Investigation Team are making significant progress with their inquiry and these arrests reflect this.

“Mason’s and Max’s families have been updated and specialist family liaison officers continue to provide them with support.”

Talented footballer Max and pal Mason were attacked on Saturday night by a group who fled the scene in a car.

It is believed the teens could have been caught up in the crossfire of a turf war.

Tributes have flooded in for the pair, who passed away in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Max’s sister, Kayleigh, paid tribute to her brother on Facebook with a gut-wrenching photo.

She wrote: “You sleep tight. A beautiful, kind soul gone. Just taken 16 years so young and innocent oh my heart is broken.

“I really hope you know how much we love you. How much I love you.

“You will be missed kiddo I’ll always look out for you in every sunset, shine bright lil’ bro.”

While his grief-stricken mum Leanne wrote: “Devastated, our lives will never be the same without you my boy.”

Victims are taken to to Southmead Hospital and Bristol Royal Hospital for Children after being found with stab wounds.
