A PAIR of Israeli tourists and their guide in Egypt were gunned down after a police officer opened fire at a popular tourist attraction.
It comes amid rising tensions across the region after a horror attack unleashed on Israel from Hamas has left hundreds dead and launched an all-out war.

Graphic photos emerged of the group, many of whom were lying injured, near Pompey’s Pillar in the capital city.
Video showed passerbys attempting to aide the wounded as a woman screamed for an ambulance.
Along with their Egyptian tour guide, the two Israelis were fatally injured after the early morning shooting in Alexandria.
The policeman reportedly “lost control” and fired randomly on the group after he was “provoked”.
Extra News reported the gunman was arrested and sources confirmed the gunman was a police officer.
Anti-Israeli sentiment is high in Egypt, even as the country has served as a mediator between Israel and Palestine.
Israel’s foreign ministry said: “This morning during a tourist visit of a group of Israelis in Alexandria, Egypt, a local opened fire on them, as a result of which two Israeli citizens and the local Egyptian guide were murdered.”
Another Israeli citizen remains wounded in “moderate” condition after the horror shooting.
Meanwhile, more than 500 Israelis and Palestinians are dead and thousands more injured as Israel began retaliatory strikes after yesterday’s shocking attacks.
Israel blitzed Gaza City overnight, striking multiple high rise towers and striking compounds where Hamas fighters are thought to be hiding.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a powerful statement on Twitter: “All of the places which Hamas is deployed, hiding and operating in, that wicked city, we will turn them into rubble.
“I say to the residents of Gaza: Leave now because we will operate forcefully everywhere.”

Earlier marauding gunmen massacred civilians and snatched hostages off the streets after storming through the frontier from Gaza amid a hail of 5,000 rockets.
Israel confirmed that civilians and soldiers are being held hostage by Hamas near the Gaza Border,
Some experts have suggested the hostages could be used as human bargaining chips in exchange for prisoners kept in Israeli jails.
Another suggested they might even be used as human shields to stop Israeli forces.
Senior Hamas leader Saleh al-Arouri said his force had enough Israeli captives to force the release of around 5,000 Palestinian prisoners.
