But controversy struck on the scorecards as Fury edged out a split-decision.

One judge scored it in Ngannou’s favour but the deciding two went the way of Fury.

It keeps Fury’s undisputed title fight with Oleksandr Usyk, 36, alive but fans slammed the “robbery” decision online.

One fumed: “Wow. An absolute robbery to give that to Fury.”

Another raged: “FRANCIS NGANNOU HAS BEEN ROBBED.”
