BRITS battled plunging temperatures with SNOW expected in Scotland today as flood warnings continued.
Forecasters said that daytime temperatures will potentially be up to 10C colder than earlier this week across southern England.

The first widespread overnight frost of the season is also likely across many central and northern areas this weekend.
Those in higher parts of Scotland are forecast a dusting of snow today amid cooler temperatures.
“A day of sunny spells and scattered showers across the UK,” the Met Office said.
“Showers most frequent in the north and west and will fall as snow across the Scottish hills,” they added.
“Feeling much colder, especially for southern parts of England and Wales.”
Met Office meteorologist Alex Burkill said: “Some places will be 10 degrees lower than they were last weekend.
“Generally across Scotland it’s going to be a windy picture that will add to the cold feel, pretty chilly as some places see temperatures struggle into single figures.”
The Environment Agency issued flood warnings yesterday with nine across the country still in place this morning.
It read: “Flooding is expected in this area. This means properties are at risk of flooding.
“Please take action to protect yourself and your property and monitor local weather and river conditions.
“Avoid contact with, walking or driving through flood water. Consider activating any property flood protection products you may have.
“A flood warning means you need to act – flooding is expected.”
The Met Office said Sunday will see plenty of autumnal sunshine with showers largely focused across Scotland.
Temperatures are expected to be below average for this time of the year with light winds.
