HEAVY rain is set to drench Britain in the coming days – with more warnings of dangerous floods and travel chaos.
Downpours swept across Scotland at the weekend, causing massive landslides and closing major roads.

During the peak of the flooding 10 people had to be airlifted from one of the slips by a rescue helicopter.
It came after the Met Office issued a trio of weather warnings over the storms.
Now, the forecasters have placed another alert over the western parts of Scotland.
The yellow weather warning is in place from 6am tomorrow until 9pm.
It warns there is a chance of more flooding, and travel chaos – with the risk of water entering homes and businesses.
The Met Office warned: “Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.
“Where flooding occurs, there is a slight chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services.
“There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings.”
The forecasters warned the wet weather would stick around for Scotland and Northern Ireland – but other parts of the country would be dry.
It said tomorrow would be mostly windy in the north, but added: “Elsewhere mostly dry with warm sunshine developing, although fog affecting some southern and western coasts.”
Looking ahead from Wednesday to Friday, the Met Office said: “Rain moving south across England and Wales on Wednesday. Sunshine and blustery showers elsewhere.
“Mostly fine, but fresher on Thursday. Wet in the south on Friday, brighter, showery further north.”
But sadly, the wet weather isn’t going away.
In its long-range forecast, the Met said: “Heavy rain is expected to arrive into the southwest early on Friday, later spreading north-eastwards into central parts of the UK.
“Further north, a mixture of showers and sunny spells are likely, with the potential for strong blustery winds in places.
“Over the weekend, a general showery theme is expected to become more prevalent, with the best of any dry conditions likely to be in the southwest.”
At the weekend, Scotland was warned “danger to life” flooding was expected, as well as potential power cuts and communities becoming cut off.
Rail services faced severe disruption and drivers were urged to stay off the roads as floodwater ran down the highways.
