THE Met Office has revealed where “heavy” rain and thunderstorms will hit the UK before sunny weather over the weekend.
Brits have been enjoying some sunny spells over the week but there has also been wet weather for others.

Meteorologist Honor Criswick said there would be more cloudy weather in western regions today.
She said that there would be “outbreaks of rain and drizzle” slowly moving northwards.
Northern parts of England and Wales are particularly affected, said Ms Criswick.
The Met Office warned Brits that the rain could be “heavy at times and potentially thundery”.
But those in the South-East will enjoy sunny weather today, said the forecaster.
Residents of East Anglia, Sussex and Kent will also be able to bask in some sunlight on Friday.
Ms Criswick added: “Temperatures are widely above average for this time of year.
“There are highs of 15-16C across the South East.”
Despite outbreaks of rain pushing northwards, drier and sunnier intervals will “greet those in northern Scotland“, said the forecaster.
And the weather for this weekend looks to have some glorious sunny weather on the cards for many.
Yesterday saw the hottest day of the year so far, with sun worshippers basking in heats of 19C in Suffolk.
Britain is set to enjoy a warm blast with temperatures potentially reaching 18C this weekend.
Met Office spokesperson Stephen Dixon forecasted “the warmest weekend that we’ve had for some time”.
He predicted that we will see “good sunny spells on Saturday which should feel pleasant in the sunshine for many”.
This will be followed by sunny spells on Sunday with “some cloud and a chance of rain but generally a dry and fine day for much of the UK”.
The highest March temperature on record was March 29 1968, at 25.6C, with the UK daytime maximum average sitting at 9.2C.
But Mr Dixon said: “The thing to note is that it’s not universally nice weather for everyone.
“So, there’s patchy rain around on Friday, particularly for Western areas of Wales and South West and North West England, that comes with a bit more cloud as well.
“It’s not necessarily shorts and head to the beach weather for the whole of the UK.”
