POLICE are on the scene at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, after an active shooter was reported on campus.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police have confirmed that they’re investigating and said there appear to be multiple victims.

Preliminary reports from police indicate an active shooter near Frank and Estalla Beam Hall, home of the university’s Lee Business School and the William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration.
A second shooting has taken place in the school’s student union, the university reported via X, formerly Twitter.
“Please avoid the area and we will have more information soon,” police said on X.
University police have also confirmed that they’re on the scene and are responding to an active shooter.
Students have reportedly received a lockdown alert as the investigation continues.
Brett Forrest, a local reporter, shared the lockdown alert he received.
“I’m currently locked down inside a UNLV campus building. Everyone nearby was told to lock down inside here. Police update just pushed out a “confirmed active shooter” alert,” his tweet read.
Students have also shared harrowing tales of escape on X.
“Never ran so f***ing fast in my life this s*** is so sad,” one student tweeted.
BEAM Hall is centrally located on campus near the university’s theater school, student union, and bookstore.
