A SHOOTER opened fire in a Minneapolis Catholic school and church on Wednesday morning.
Emergency crews were called to Annunciation Church, with sources confirming to KARE that an active shooter situation was unfolding.

The source told the outlet that there was a significant number of victims, including children.
“I’ve been briefed on a shooting at Annunciation Catholic School and will continue to provide updates as we get more information. The BCA and State Patrol are on scene,” Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz said on X.
“I’m praying for our kids and teachers whose first week of school was marred by this horrific act of violence.”
The City of Minneapolis posted that the shooter was “contained.”
“There is no active threat to the community at this time.”
CBS News said that the suspect reportedly died by suicide.
Richfield Police said that there were 20 victims, and a “man dressed in all black and armed with a rifle was reported at the scene.”
A parent told the Minnesota Star Tribune that all of the students were in Mass, sitting in pews when a shooter shot through the windows.
“He just pepper-sprayed through the stained-glass windows into the building, 50 to 100 shots,” said the parent, who was not named.
“He killed two kids.”
No deaths have been confirmed.
Parents were seen leaving the scene with their children, as some cried.
A resident nearby told the station that so much gunfire was heard, they thought that someone was roofing their house.
President Donald Trump posted about the shooting, saying that he was “fully briefed.”
“The FBI quickly responded and they are on the scene. The White House will continue to monitor this terrible situation,” he wrote on Truth Social.
“Please join me in praying for everyone involved!”
FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino said that agents are “en route to the scene.”
The city posted that “families of children at the school can go to the reunification zone at the Annunciation School.”
“Stay away from the area to allow emergency personnel to help victims.”
The school’s Instagram says that they have students ranging from preschool through 8th grade.
They began school this week.
Students were being evacuated, according to 8NewsNow.
“I’m monitoring reports of horrific violence in South Minneapolis. I’m in touch with Chief O’Hara and our emergency response team has been activated,” Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey posted.
“We will share more information as soon as we can. Please give our officers the space they need to respond to the situation.”
Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar tweeted: “I am heartbroken by the horrific violence at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis this morning.”
