Urgent hunt for missing schoolgirl, 14, last seen leaving home as she ‘did not return as expected’

POLICE are desperately appealing for help to find a teenage girl who disappeared from her home yesterday.

Zaina Razwan, 14, has not been seen since leaving her home in Pontefract, West Yorkshire, at 5.30pm on Sunday.

West Yorkshire Police said she did not return as expected after leaving home.

The force said in a statement: “Have you seen Zaina Razwan, 14, who has been reported missing from home in Pontefract.

“She was last seen leaving home at 5:30pm yesterday and did not return as expected.”

Police also explained the teenager has links to a nearby village and city, as well as Pontefract itself.

The force said she has links to Ackworth, a small village around 3 miles south-west of Pontefract.

It also said she was connected to the city of Wakefield, approximately eight miles to the west.
