AN URGENT search has been launched for a woman “in distress” who was seen getting into a car late at night with a man.

Police are appealing for help in identifying the woman, who was seen entering into a blue hatchback in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, at approximately 1.46am on Saturday.

The vehicle then left Hersham Road, driving towards Robinsway, with the woman inside, Surrey Police said.

Cops described the woman as White, in her late 30s or early 40s with long brown hair and 5ft 6in tall.

Officers added she was wearing a blue hoodie and white trousers with black and brown spots when she was last seen.

A man seen with her is described by police as White, of a stock build with short hair and 5ft 10in tall.

Cops said he was wearing a black hoodie at the time.

Neither the man nor the woman have been located or identified by police, despite “extensive enquiries including house to house, CCTV and partner agencies”.

Police added: “We want to check that she is okay, so if this is you, or you know who this is, please contact us quoting PR/45250106320 via direct message.”
