A VAIN fugitive has trolled police for using an unflattering mugshot in their wanted appeal.
Suspected drugs offender Luke Ruiz, 29, insisted he was far better looking than their picture suggested.
He also claimed officers knew he had started a new life as a wannabe influencer in Marbella and could easily contact him.
Ruiz was released from prison nine months ago when a charge of aggravated burglary was dropped days before he was due to appear in court.
Now, he is being sought as part of an investigation into drug supply in Newport, South Wales.
But after Gwent Police issued an appeal for help tracing him, he posted on social media: “Could have used a better photo.
“I’m better looking than that I promise.
“If I’m wanted for a crime, feel free to let me know directly.
“If not, and you just want a chat, then inbox me.
“We can talk about how there’s absolutely nothing I can assist you with.”
Ruiz added: “I have already told them everything I know. I have started a new life in Spain.”
He has 4,300 followers on Facebook and more than 1,000 on TikTok.
