Police and medics raced to Wakefield Prison, West Yorkshire – dubbed ‘Monster Mansion’ – but Watkins could not be saved.

Vile Watkins, 48, was jailed for 29 years in 2013 for 13 offences – including trying to rape a fan’s 11-month-old son and conspiring to rape another’s daughter.

The sickening case heard how two of his warped fans even offered up their babies to be abused by their idol.

His two co-defendants, fans who were the mothers of victims, received sentences of 14 and 17 years in prison at the time.

Now, it can be revealed that the the evil mother of one of the children – who was jailed for 17 years in 2013 – has been referred to the parole board.

Known as ‘Woman B’, the mother has had previous parole hearings but the Parole Board had decided she was “not safe” to be freed.

However, the Parole Board said that the latest review is “following standard process” as a referral is triggered when a prisoner becomes eligible for parole.

Any decisions made would be “solely focused” on “what risk a prisoner could represent to the public”, said the Parole Board.

The prisoner’s case has now again been referred to the Parole Board for a risk assessment to determine if she can be safely released into the community.

A spokesperson for the Parole Board said: “We can confirm the parole review of (Woman B) has been referred to the Parole Board by the Secretary of State for Justice and is following standard processes.

“Parole Board decisions are solely focused on what risk a prisoner could represent to the public if released and whether that risk is manageable in the community.

“A panel will carefully examine a huge range of evidence, including details of the original crime, and any evidence of behaviour change, as well as explore the harm done and impact the crime has had on the victims.

“Members read and digest hundreds of pages of evidence and reports in the lead up to an oral hearing.

“Evidence from witnesses such as probation officers, psychiatrists and psychologists, officials supervising the offender in prison as well as victim personal statements may be given at the hearing.

“It is standard for the prisoner and witnesses to be questioned at length during the hearing which often lasts a full day or more.

“Parole reviews are undertaken thoroughly and with extreme care. Protecting the public is our number one priority.”

The woman was freed at the automatic release point of her sentence in June 2021 – but her licence was revoked, and she was recalled to custody the following September.

Details of her recall to prison emerged during a parole hearing in November 2023 to consider whether she could be freed from prison for a second time.

Watkins is understood to have been ambushed and stabbed as inmates were allowed out of their cells.

West Yorkshire Police confirmed Watkins had died after being “seriously assaulted”.

Two prisoners who were arrested for the alleged murder of Lostprophets paedo Ian Watkins were charged.

Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43, who are both serving time at HMP Wakefield, were charged with murder and were remanded in custody.

Category A Wakefield – which holds 630 lags –  has been dubbed ‘Monster Mansion’ due to the number of high-profile killers, terrorists and sex offenders it holds.
