WATFORD have made a major change to their kit by swapping their traditional yellow home jersey for a blue one.
And it’s all thanks to their chairman, superstar musician Elton John.

The legendary hit maker, 78, has been at the helm of the Hornets for nearly 50 years.
And to mark the occasion, Watford will face Blackburn Rovers in a special one-off kit this weekend.
Instead of their usual yellow home jersey, the Championship side will play all in BLUE.
The incredible strip is inspired by the art work of John’s album Diamond.
He played a big role in helping design the kit, which also has a special feature on the back.
It carries lyrics from his smash hit number Your Song from 1970, including the words: “How wonderful life is while you’re in the world.”
Watford’s blue kit also includes a throwback Happy Hornet badge — their crest when John became Watford chairman in 1976.
The blue itself was the colour they used to play in when John started supporting them at the age of 5.

Watford last played in it in 1959 before switching to their now-yellow top.
But John revealed his emotional reaction to the one-off return to blue in a video on social media.

John said: “My passion for this club has never died. I’m so proud of this club.
“Ever since I was five years old when we played in blue, and there were two rickety old stands…
“What can I say? It’s in my heart and my soul, you can’t get rid of it.
“The supporters of this club have always been in my heart.”
Fans were equally delighted with the strip as they reacted online.
One said: “That is sensational.”
Another declared: “Absolute belter of a shirt.”
