WAYNE ROONEY has revealed masked thugs once turned up at his house following a row with Sir Alex Ferguson.
The Manchester United legend threatened to leave the club on more than one occasion under Fergie.

In the 2010/11 season Rooney aired concerns about the squad and later announced he wanted to quit the club.
He held talks with Ferguson which did not go well, with the former United boss telling the striker to get out of his office in no uncertain terms.
Thugs then turned up at Rooney’s house in the early hours wearing balaclavas – not knowing he had actually already agreed to sign a new contract.
Wazza recalled the story on The Wayne Rooney Podcast saying: “I had a group of lads outside my house in balaclavas at three o’clock in the morning when my eldest Kai was a baby.
“It was scary, Coleen was sat up in bed feeding Kai. She woke me up and we saw all these grown men in their 40s, and some teenagers.
“I went down to the gates, and what they didn’t know is that I was going in the next morning to sign a new deal.
“I went to the gates and was like ‘what are youse doing? Don’t come to my house at this time in the morning’.
“After it I think they thought them coming to the house made me change my mind and sign a new deal. So they thought it worked.”

Rooney, 39, was persauded to stay at Old Trafford by then chief executive David Gill, who gave him assurances on what the club planned in the transfer market.
He said of the incident prevsuly: “When I put the transfer request in [to leave Manchester United], I was still speaking to David Gill on where the club was going, how they were going to move forward.
“Being a manager now myself, and looking back, it was the wrong thing to do probably. At the time, I felt like it was the right thing to do to really get assurances for my own career.
“Once David [Gill] had explained what the club are doing, I said, ‘Fine – that’s all the manager had to say. That’s all the club had to tell me’, and then I signed the new deal.
“In terms of the relationship with the manager [Sir Alex Ferguson], of course it was never the same. After that, the big thing that probably hurt him was they had just sold Carlos Tevez, they had just sold Cristiano Ronaldo, and probably couldn’t afford to let me go.”
