Rooney and Vardy will face off for the first time since their wives’ libel case last year.
The trial was dubbed “Wagatha Christie” after Coleen Rooney accused Rebekah Vardy of leaking posts from her private Instagram account.
Rooney and Vardy’s clash on the football pitch will now be shown live by Sky Sports.
Birmingham confirmed that the broadcaster has selected the fixture and moved it to an 8pm kick-off on Monday December 18.
The Blues’ trip to Coventry has also been rescheduled to Friday December 8.
Reacting to the news on X, formerly Twitter, one fan wrote: “Wagatha Christie derby.”
Meanwhile, another added: “El Grassico derby on the box, get on.”
It will be the first time the former England team-mates have faced each other since the trial.
