MARK WILLIAMS suffered every snooker star’s nightmare during his Masters match against Ding Junhui on Monday.
With both players on a single frame each, the Welshman, 49, had the perfect opportunity to dominate the third as he eyed up a relatively simple shot on the blue.

However, he completely mis-hit the cue ball meaning his effort barely hit the all-important blue and play was handed over to his opponent.
Ding went on to win the frame and lead 2-1 as a result of the huge error.
Reacting to the miss, commentator Dennis Taylor said: “Now we’ve seen everything, Mark.
“We’ve talked about that tip that Mark Williams has and how hard it is. I can’t remember him miscuing it much, but what a time to miscue.”
Ding was eventually able to win the match 6-5 following a decider.
He will now progress to the quarter-finals, where he will face either Barry Hawkins or Judd Trump.
After the match, Williams told Eurosport: “I don’t normally say this but I think the only reason I lost today was the run of the ball.
“He had so much run all the way through the match, really. I’ve had it myself in the past but that was as much run of the ball for a long time that someone’s had against me.

“I was 5-4 up, he’s butchered a long red, smashed them everywhere and I’m on nothing.
“Last frame he’s butchered one again, left me in trouble and cleared up again.”
He later told the BBC: “I lost count of how many times he held his hand up to me to say sorry. He must have done it 10 or 11 times.
“Good luck to him. He made two great breaks. After the interval, none of us can play much better than that.”
