When is Taylor Swift’s new album released?

The award-winning, record-breaking artist will be releasing her latest album this week.

The The Life of a Showgirl drops on October 3 and it is almost guaranteed to go to number one globally.

The album will be released at 9pm PT on Thursday October 2 or 12am ET on Friday October 3.

For UK Swifties they’ll have to wait until 5am on Friday October 3 to get their hands on the highly anticipated album.

At that time, fans will be able to stream the album on places such as Spotify or Apple Music as well as buy the album.

The billionaire always goes the extra mile when it comes to her albums, and this is no exception.

Fans will also be able to purchase different vinyl covers, making them somewhat of a collectible.

“The Shiny Bug” cover edition, the “Baby, That’s Show Business” cover edition and the “Tiny Bubbles In Champagne” edition and The Crowd Is Your King” vinyl were all announced as exclusive covers for certain retailers.

There will be 12 songs on the album with a feature of rising star Sabrina Carpenter

What is The Life of a Showgirl’s tracklisting?

Fans have been theorising about the potential meaning of the album title, and in particular, trying to ascertain what the songs could be about.

Taylor described the album as being about “the life beyond the show” and “everything that was going on behind the curtain”.

Toward the end of her Eras Tour, the pop star began to drop hints about the potential of a 12th album, namely through the use of the color orange which is now heavily associated with the album.

With that in mind, it is almost certain that she wrote the album during the Behemoth tour, a tour which she has described in the past as both physically exhausting and mentally exhilarating.

As a result, many fans think she has been literal with the title of the album, and will use the songs to portray the “infectiously joyful, wild, dramatic place” she was in throughout the tour.

The tracks include:

“The Fate of Ophelia”

“Elizabeth Taylor”

“Opalite”

“Father Figure”

“Eldest Daughter”

“Ruin the Friendship”

“Actually Romantic”

“Wi$h Li$t”

“Wood”

“CANCELLED!”

“Honey”

Fans will notice that there will be only one feature on the album, with Eras Tour support act-cum-mega star Sabrina Carpenter closing out the album as the title track.

There will be 12 songs on the 12th album, making it one of the 35-year-old’s shortest albums, especially compared to last year’s Tortured Poets Department, which gifted fans 31 songs.
